Dr. Leah Lewis J.D., is the Founder and CEO of Cocoon Technologies Inc., a software company that prioritizes the safety of all community members. Dr. Lewis is an entrepreneur, former elected official, and social justice advocate and a graduate of Ashland Theological Seminary (OH) (D.Min.), Yale Divinity School (M.Div.), Howard University School of Law (J.D.), and Bowling Green State University (B.S.Ed.). Dr. Lewis has completed the Bank of America Institute for Women's Entrepreneurship at Cornell and the University of Michigan School of Engineering’s Nexus Cybersecurity Professional Bootcamp, the Village Capital Justice Tech Founders Workshop and Lightship Capital Bootcamp. To date, Cocoon Technologies has completed several other accelerators including a Capital One Mobility Accelerator, Capital One Pro Bono Program focused on Tech, Flywheel Social Impact Hub Elevate Equity Accelerator, 2022 Plug & Play: Detroit Mobility Batch 3, 2022 Black Ambition Semi-Finalist, 2022 QBE AcceliCities Leading Cities Resilience Challenge, the Zane Access Cohort 3, the Atlen Open Innovation Accelerator, Gener8tor gBETA Social Impact Accelerator, the MIT SOLVE Unbundling Policing: Reimagining Public Safety Incubator, and the 2021 Black Ambition Mentoring Circles.
